The garden

A beer garden built for gigs and long afternoons

The garden is the real surprise, with plenty of benches, covered areas and cosy alcoves around an outside bar. There’s table football, pool and even a piano, while the garden also hosts open-air events. The Firkin Express, a 1950s Kent and East Sussex first-class carriage, is available to hire.

The bar

House-brewed beer, pizza and a packed events calendar

Fox & Firkin brews its own beer on site, with the bar serving a selection of kegged beers and familiar brands. Food comes from @yardsalepizza, whose pizzas are delivered to the pub, alongside visiting street-food options. The performance programme ranges across live bands, reggae, jazz, Latin, rock, rave, comedy and markets, with DJs taking the night later.
