Dating back to at least the 16th century and rebuilt after the Southwark fire of 1676, The George has plenty of history behind its welcome. Order pub classics, burgers, pies, sandwiches or steak, with vegetarian and non-alcoholic choices available. Sky Sports and TNT Sports bring football, rugby, F1 and other live fixtures to the pub.

The large courtyard beer garden is made for sunny drinks, food and live sport, with a big screen adding to the occasion. It can get busy during major fixtures, and the garden operates on a walk-in basis rather than taking bookings. Dogs and children are welcome.
