Thai plates, cask ales and old pub character

Original ornate ceramic mouldings, cornices and fascia tiles give the pub its historic feel, while the bar serves real ales from Shepherd Neame alongside other beers and ciders. Food covers Thai noodles, curries and specials, as well as fish and chips and other British favourites. The Thai Express lunch menu runs from 12–3pm daily.

The garden

A covered, heated oasis behind the city bustle

At the back, a leafy garden offers outdoor seating away from Prescot Street. It is covered and heated, with food and drink served outside until 10pm, making room for lunch, after-work drinks or a meal in the open air.
