The Drapers Arms is Bristol’s first micropub, a compact, friendly alehouse on Gloucester Road in Bishopston. Expect independent cask beers, a few bar snacks, organic wine and a front outdoor seating area, rather than lager, screens or loud entertainment.

Beer measured in miles
Most of the cask ales come from independent breweries in Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire and South Wales, with the majority travelling less than 30 miles. The pub displays the distance each beer has travelled, and many are under five miles. There is no lager or keg beer, but organic wine is available too.

A sociable stop on Gloucester Road
This is a one-room pub with space for around 40 people, set up for conversation rather than television, Wi-Fi or a jukebox. Dogs are welcome, and there is outdoor seating at the front. Bar snacks include crisps and pickled eggs, but there is no hot food.
