The kitchen

A menu written twice daily

The grill chef writes the menu shortly before each service, with food cooked to order by a small kitchen team. The style is Mediterranean, with dishes such as fish, onglet and the well-known steak sandwich, alongside sourdough and desserts such as Basque cheesecake.

Ale, wine and a proper pub drinks list

There are ales from Marston’s and Charles Wells, craft keg from Hackney Brewery alumni, and wine supplied by Paul Boutinot, all available by the glass. Cocktails, ginger beer with fresh lime and the pub’s Rock Shandy round things out.
