This is an independent, family-run pub with a warm, traditional feel and plenty to occupy a relaxed visit, from the pool table and jukebox to the books and TVs. Thursdays bring a general-knowledge quiz from 9:15pm, while live bands and sport add to the regular programme.

The pub sits just under the Parkland Walk and has an outdoor area for warmer days. Sunday roasts are served from September, and summer brings Sunday barbecues from 1pm to 5pm.
