The kitchen

Two floors, two ways to eat

Downstairs, the menu runs to Scotch eggs, cheese toasties, ham, egg and chips, steak and chips, and a chicken, leek and tarragon pie for two. Upstairs, the cooking becomes more ambitious, with dishes such as duck, dressed crab, brill and large-format steaks. The wine list ranges from English sparkling wine to bottles from Burgundy, Bordeaux and beyond.

The bar

A Portobello Road pub for food and drinks

The ground floor is built around cask ales, cocktails and a relaxed pub setting, while the upstairs room offers a more subdued dinner experience. Live music is also part of the programme, with tables available to book for meals and occasions.
