The Ring is a traditional Southwark pub on Blackfriars Road, directly opposite Southwark Underground Station. Its walls carry photographs of boxing figures, while the kitchen serves Thai food, small plates and sharing platters.

A pub with a boxing story
The Ring takes its name from the historic boxing venue that once stood opposite, and photographs of former champions line the walls. It is a compact meeting place between Waterloo and London Bridge, with Guinness, cask ales and a rotating craft beer selection at the bar.

Thai food, spice bags and lunch boxes
Johnny Rice Thai street food is served Monday to Saturday, with takeaway boxes from the Thai Shack alongside evening small plates, sharing platters and daily specials. The menu also includes the signature Spice Bag, and gluten-free and vegan options are available.
