The low-ceilinged interior has an open fireplace, leather armchairs and cosy corners, with a bar serving craft ales, real ales, wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks. The kitchen covers classic pub food, from burgers and bar snacks to seasonal dishes, with Sunday roast at the centre of the weekend menu.

A heated spot after a Heath walk
Out back, the beer garden has arbours, colourful furniture and heating, making it useful beyond the warmer months. It is a natural stop for muddy-boot dog walkers, post-Heath drinks and relaxed meals, with the front terrace adding more outdoor seating.
