The pub takes its name from Sovereign of the Seas, designed in 1634 by Phineas Pett for Charles I. Order from a familiar pub-food menu including burgers, fish and chips, pizza and wings, with vegetarian and non-alcoholic options alongside draught beer, real ale, craft ales, wine and cocktails.

A summer garden at the rear adds outdoor seating, with more tables out front. Inside, TV screens make it a practical stop for watching sport, while children are welcome between 9am and 8:30pm.
