A characterful old pub with plenty going on
Formerly the Black Horse, the building dates from the 1870s or 1880s and retains its Trumans-era frontage. Inside, a large main room has a distinctive Vitrolite ceiling, bare brick sections and window booths. Food includes pizza and Sunday roasts, with meat sourced from a Brazilian butcher.

Drinks, music and a friendly local welcome
The bar offers lager, a broad selection of non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails and wine. Dogs are welcome, and the pub shows sport. It also has accommodation upstairs, making it more than a stop for a quick pint.
