The Jamaica Wine House stands on the site of London’s first coffee house, dating back to 1652, in a red sandstone building from 1869. Its traditional interior includes wood panelling, original 19th-century features and the cooker once used to roast coffee beans. The bar serves Kentish cask ales, international lagers, wine and cocktails.

Drinks spill into St Michael’s Alley

On warmer days, people gather outside in the pedestrian alley beside the pub. Food is served, with classic pub choices including burgers, chips, pie and steak, alongside vegetarian options. The pub is open Monday to Friday and closed at weekends.
