The Red Lion is intimate and L-shaped, with a stained-glass gantry above the servery, leather-upholstered pews and a drinking ledge for a handful of stools. Historical photos, mirrors, wood panelling and patterned carpet give the room its old-school feel, while the dim lighting brings a village-pub atmosphere to this narrow passage off Pall Mall.

A compact stop for drinks near Green Park
There is a selection of keg beers and three cask ales, with wine and spirits also tagged on the bar. DJs add to the evening offer, and the pub can fill up quickly after work despite its tucked-away setting.
