Classic plates, serious Sunday roasts

The menu covers comforting pub favourites, from pies and burgers to steaks, sandwiches and chips, with vegetarian choices and a children’s menu. Sundays bring slow-cooked roasts with crisp potatoes, seasonal sides, gravy and oversized Yorkshire puddings. From Thursday to Saturday, the Burger Shack adds another reason to settle in.

The garden

A heated outdoor spot by Victoria Road

The garden works year-round, with a sun-trap feel in warmer months and heating when the temperature drops. Order a spritz, frozen cocktail, pint or something from the outside bar, then settle in with food or bar snacks. Dogs are welcome, and the garden includes cosy heated huts available to hire.
