Dating from 1549 and rebuilt on its Fleet Street site in 1887, Ye Olde Cock Tavern has one of London’s narrowest pub frontages. Inside, you’ll find traditional pub food, craft ales, cocktails and live sport, with Temple Church opposite.

A narrow Fleet Street original with room to settle in
The pub’s historic character runs through its two bars, with traditional seating downstairs and a more spacious upper level. Upstairs, a front room has two shuffleboard tables, while the fireplace by the first-floor window is a standout feature. Dogs and children are welcome, and some areas are not accessible due to the building’s age.

The menu covers burgers, fish and chips, pies, sandwiches, steaks, wings, bar snacks and vegetarian options, with Sunday roast served weekly. Drinks include craft ales, wine, spirits, cocktails and non-alcoholic choices. Sky Sports and TNT Sports bring football, rugby, F1 and darts to the pub, including Six Nations fixtures.
