Three centuries of pub character
Dating back to 1723, the tavern was originally called the Dog and Duck before taking its current name in 1759. Original Victorian fittings and gas lanterns remain, while the menu covers pub classics including fish and chips, steak and ale pie, sandwiches and Sunday roast, with vegetarian and non-alcoholic options available.

Set directly opposite the British Museum, Museum Tavern makes an easy stop for a real ale, craft cask pint, wine or cocktail. Dogs and children are welcome, and the pub is close to the Dominion and Gillian Lynne theatres as well as other Bloomsbury museums.
