A Victorian pub of tiled floors and etched glass

The interior was remodelled in the 1890s and is filled with Victorian tiling, mosaic floors, ornate mirrors and cut-glass screens. Partitioned booths sit along the bar, while fireplaces add character to the main bar and restaurant.

The kitchen

Classic pub plates, from fish and chips to sticky toffee pudding

The menu covers hand-battered cod with mushy peas, Kentish Hop sausage and mash, steak, shin and ale pie, burgers and a chickpea, sweet potato and spinach curry. Food is served Monday to Saturday from 12pm to 3pm and 5:30pm to 9pm, and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm.
