History, hearty plates and a bigger room beyond the front door
The pub claims to be London’s oldest licensed premises, reputedly dating back to 1216, and its history is part of the draw. Come for fish and chips, steak and ale pie, sticky toffee pudding or a drink at the bar, with friendly service and room to settle in. Dogs are welcome, and tables can be reserved through the pub.

The White Hart is a relaxed stop for a pint, wine or a few after-work drinks between Covent Garden and Holborn. From 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, DJs play classic tunes and guilty pleasures, with the pub staying open until 2am.
