A friendly SE1 queer pub with plenty going on
The Rising has been part of the local community since 1936 and now offers a queer safe space in Elephant & Castle. Settle in with draught beer, real ale, cocktails, wine or spirits, then stay for live music, a drag show or the pub quiz. There are also board games, a pool table and a jukebox when the evening needs a little extra soundtrack.

Bring your own bite or order a pizza
There is no food served in-house, but you are welcome to bring something in, with plates and cutlery available. Yard Sale Pizza delivers directly to the pub, making it easy to pair a slice with the drinks menu. Dogs are welcome too.
